Hello 2016! How have your New Year’s celebrations been? Mine were pretty quiet this year, having dinner and playing games with friends at home. For the past few days I’ve really enjoyed relaxing at home and going through all my 2015 archives (I did a roundup post earlier this week!), so that now I feel more than ready for the new year. But first, here’s what I wore during the last week of the year!
Saturday
My post-Christmas day consisted of grocery shopping, testing my new coffee machine, hitting the gym, last-minute present-hunting, shooting this outfit (photos still to come!) and attending my parents’ Christmas party in the evening. Busy days require a comfy outfit, hence the skinny jeans and sneakers! The glitter socks do add a tiny touch of glamour, right?
Sunday
Most lazy Sunday ever! After all the food comas I allowed myself a day of rest, resulting in me finally picking up a book again. I hadn’t done any reading since my trip to Saint-Martin back in October! I did get out of the house real quick to pick up my new bass guitar, yey! This outfit was pretty much the same as the day before, but worn with my Massimo Dutti coat.
Monday
Last Monday of the year! I wore my new Acne knit that I have been living in since I purchased it on sale two weeks ago <3 I added my Filippa K wool trousers and my Maruti leopard slip ons for a super cozy office outfit. Easy and chic!
Tuesday
Since I work part-time as a social media manager and copywriter, I work at the office on Mondays, Tuesdays and Fridays. That means that on Wednesdays, Thursdays and weekends I can always fully focus on the blog! It’s really great to work from home and be able to switch the regular desk for a life ‘on the field’ as well. This Tuesday was my last day at work that week, which I celebrated with this great H&M dress that’s now on sale and my pretty Filippa K knit. I really feel like wearing this outfit again soon!
Wednesday
Since it got a little chillier outside last week, I could finally start layering up! Here I did some last minute errands wearing my favourite River Island coat, Acne knit, H&M striped shirt and Levi’s boyfriend jeans. Couldn’t get any comfier really.
Thursday
Here’s what I wore on the very last day of the year. Yep, that Acne knit again… This time I wore it with my Vila dress and Tosca Blue biker boots. For New Year’s Eve I switched this look for a more dressed up outfit with a sparkly long-sleeve body from H&M and my beautiful dark green A-line skirt from Pinko. Sadly I don’t have any pics of that look, but you might have caught a glimpse on Snapchat?
Friday
Hello January 1st! After sleeping until 2PM the boyfriend and I had a few family gatherings to attend. When hungover I always go for A) a super slouchy hoodie look or B) a very dressed up outfit so that I might forget my hangover when looking the mirror. This time I obviously went for option B. Are you loving that Filippa K dress too?
Saturday
The first weekend of 2016 is all about studying for me: I still have 1 final exam to pass before I can finally graduate! This exam is in two weeks already so I better start hitting the books. Here’s that outfit option A that I mentioned before…
